This website is operated by P.L. Taggart and S.A. Taggart (ABN 45 774 804 485), a partnership trading as Vets Unlimited (Vets Unlimited, we, us or our).

This website is located at www.vetsunlimited.com.au and includes every page within that domain and its subdomains (this site).

Agreement to these Website Terms of Use

By accessing or using this site you agree to be bound by these terms of use (Website Terms of Use). If you do not agree, do not use this site.

Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy (www.vetsunlimited.com.au/privacy-policy/) explains how we handle personal information. It is not part of these Website Terms of Use, but you should read it.

Who these Website Terms of Use apply to

These Website Terms of Use apply to everyone who uses this site. Which other terms apply depends on who you are. If the Platform Terms conflict with these Website Terms of Use, the Platform Terms prevail.

• Job seekers and visitors. These Website Terms of Use govern your use of this site. If you use the job board to view advertisements or contact an employer, Part C of the Vets Unlimited Platform Terms (www.vetsunlimited.com.au/platform-terms/) also applies to you, together with Parts A and D. You do not need an account and you are not charged. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
• Employers. If you register an employer account, purchase a Clinic Membership or Single Job Listing, or submit a job advertisement, the Platform Terms also apply to you, in particular Part B.
• Authorised users of an employer account. If an employer allows you to use its account, the employer is responsible for what you do through the account, and you must comply with these Website Terms of Use and the acceptable use, content and intellectual property rules in the Platform Terms.

Age

This site is intended for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18 you may browse job advertisements but you must not register an account, submit a form or purchase anything through this site.

What this site is and what we do

An advertising venue only

This site is an online job board for veterinary, veterinary nursing and animal care roles in Australia and New Zealand. Employers publish advertisements, and job seekers view those advertisements and contact the employer directly using the details in the advertisement.

We are an advertising venue only. We are not an employment agency, labour hire provider or recruiter, and we do not act as agent for any employer or job seeker. We do not receive, hold or forward applications or resumes, we do not take part in any communication between employers and job seekers, and we do not introduce, screen, shortlist or recommend candidates or employers.

Job advertisements are employer content

Every job advertisement on this site is written and published by the employer that placed it. Employers are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of their advertisements. We do not guarantee the identity, accreditation or bona fides of any employer or the accuracy of any advertisement, even where we ask an employer for verification, and we do not endorse or recommend any employer or role. Any review we carry out is limited to checking that an advertisement complies with our Platform Terms.

Job seekers

Browsing advertised roles on this site is free, no account is required, and we never charge job seekers to contact employers. When you contact an employer you deal directly with that employer, outside this site. The terms that apply to job seekers are in Parts A, C and D of the Platform Terms, and Part C deals with job seekers specifically. You can report an advertisement as described under the heading “Reporting content and rights complaints” below.

Resources, webinars and general information

The articles, guides, career profiles, webinars and other material we publish or present, on this site or elsewhere, are general information only. They are not legal, financial, employment, industrial relations, immigration or other professional advice, and they do not take account of your circumstances.

Pay rates, award conditions, entitlements and visa rules change. We do not warrant that any information on this site is accurate, complete or current. Check the current position with the Fair Work Ombudsman, the Department of Home Affairs or the relevant government agency in your country, and obtain advice from a qualified professional before relying on anything on this site.

Newsletter, webinars and forms

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to us sending you emails about veterinary jobs, industry updates and this site. If you register for a webinar, we will email you about that webinar and its materials. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Information you submit through a contact, feedback or other form on this site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Do not include sensitive information, or personal information about another person, in a form unless it is necessary.

Rules for everyone

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• use this site for any purpose that is unlawful, or that breaches these Website Terms of Use or, if they apply to you, the Platform Terms;
• use any bot, scraper, crawler, spider or other automated tool or process to access, extract, copy, index or monitor any part of this site or its content, including job advertisements, application email addresses and salary information, other than a public search engine indexing pages in accordance with our robots.txt file;
• use any content from this site, including job advertisements and employer details, to train, fine-tune, test or prompt any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to build, populate or improve any database, job board, directory or competing service;
• copy, reproduce, republish, frame, redistribute or commercially exploit any content from this site, including job advertisements, application email addresses and salary information, other than as permitted under the heading “Intellectual property” below;
• use the contact details published in any advertisement for any purpose other than enquiring about or applying for the advertised role, including for marketing, recruitment services or the sale of goods or services;
• submit a job application or enquiry that is false, fraudulent or in someone else’s name;
• interfere with the operation or security of this site, place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or introduce any virus or other harmful code;
• attempt to access any part of this site, or any account, that you are not authorised to access;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of any part of this site;
• falsely imply that you or any other website or business is associated with, or endorsed by, Vets Unlimited;
• impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or business; or
• submit or transmit through this site any material that is misleading, defamatory, obscene, offensive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, infringing of any person’s rights, or otherwise unlawful.

Breach

If you breach these Website Terms of Use we may, without notice and without limiting any other remedy, block or restrict your access to this site, remove any material you have submitted and, where the conduct is unlawful, report it to the appropriate authority.

Intellectual property

Our content

This site, its design, software, text, graphics, logos, and the selection and arrangement of its content are owned by us or our licensors. Job advertisements remain the property of the employers that publish them and are licensed to us for publication on this site. You must not use the name Vets Unlimited or our logo without our prior written consent.

What you may do

You may view this site, and print or save individual pages and job advertisements, for your own personal and non-commercial use, including applying for advertised roles, provided you do not remove any copyright or other notices. You may share a link to any page of this site. Any other use of our content requires our prior written consent.

Your submissions

If you submit any material to this site other than through an employer account (for example, feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce and publish that material in connection with this site and our business, and you warrant that you have the right to grant that licence.

Reporting content and rights complaints

Anyone may report an advertisement or other material on this site that they believe is misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing or otherwise unlawful by emailing [email protected] with a link to the material and the reason for the report. If you believe that material on this site infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, include in your email the material, the right you say is infringed, the basis on which you hold that right, and your contact details.

We will review every report and complaint, may ask the person who published the material to respond, and may remove or block the material while the complaint is resolved. If the complaint is not made out, we will restore the material. Where practicable we will tell the person who published the material why it was removed. Our right to remove material under the Platform Terms is not limited by this paragraph. This website terms of use agreement was prepared by Talon Legal, business lawyers in Adelaide.

Third party websites and services

This site contains links to employer websites and other third party websites, and uses third party services such as Google Maps to display locations. We do not control those websites or services, we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of any third party website or service is at your own risk and subject to its own terms.

Disclaimers

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. Nothing in these Website Terms of Use excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

This site is provided as is

Subject to the paragraph above, this site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we give no representation, warranty or guarantee that:

• this site will be secure, uninterrupted, timely or free of errors, viruses or other harmful components;
• any advertisement, employer, role, article or other content on this site is accurate, current, complete, genuine or suitable for you;
• any application or enquiry you make through this site will be received, answered or result in employment; or
• any defect in this site will be corrected.

Liability

Exclusion of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the heading “Australian Consumer Law” above, we and our partners, employees and contractors exclude all liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including loss of income, employment opportunity, profit, data or goodwill, and any indirect or consequential loss) suffered by you or any other person arising out of or in connection with this site, its content, any advertisement, any employer or job seeker, or any dealing between you and an employer or job seeker, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute or otherwise.

Indemnity

You indemnify us and our partners, employees and contractors against any loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from any claim by a third party to the extent it arises from your breach of these Website Terms of Use or your unlawful use of this site, reduced to the extent we caused or contributed to the loss.

General

Changes to this site and these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of this site at any time. We may change these Website Terms of Use by publishing the updated version on this site with a new version number and effective date. Changes apply from that effective date, and your continued use of this site after that date is acceptance of the change. Changes to the Platform Terms are made in accordance with the Platform Terms.

Interpretation

In these Website Terms of Use, headings are for reference only, the singular includes the plural, “including” and similar expressions do not limit what precedes them, and a reference to a person includes any business or entity.

Severability

If any provision of these Website Terms of Use is invalid or unenforceable, it is to be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions continue in force.

No waiver

A failure or delay by us in exercising a right is not a waiver of it.

Assignment

We may assign our rights and obligations under these Website Terms of Use to a person who acquires the Vets Unlimited business.

Governing law

These Website Terms of Use are governed by the law of South Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia and the courts that hear appeals from them.
